About The Doink

Not only did you come to my site, but you came to my About section... well, stay a while and listen then, I suppose...

Like I essentially said at the front door, I'm Andoink (or Andy), a 30-something software developer from Virginia. I'm a programmer by trade with a multitude of technological hobbies. Game development, video editing, creating art, 3D printing - all part of the suite, to varying degrees of skill. I'm also very lucky to be a proud member of multiple amazing communities on Twitch, where I've certainly made multiple lifelong friends. I moderate streams, edit videos, create emotes, and otherwise produce content for some favorite streamers and close friends. I even stream sometimes, too, but not frequently. I like showcasing virtual reality games on my stream, and plan to do more video editing and game development streams like I have in the past.

DOINK STUDIOS is my indie game development company. You'll find plenty more about my game development efforts on that site!

Check out the other pages on this site to learn more about my hobbies and what-have-you!

Aztec's Story

Aztec here was my baby girl since she was 8 weeks old and one of the most important things in my life for over ten years. Unfortunately, life sucks sometimes and she was diagnosed with lymphoma in October of 2021. We caught it early enough that she had a good chance with chemotherapy, and so we opted in. Chemo was very expensive and incredibly rough on her, but it worked and she went into remission in June 2022. However, it didn't buy her much time and the cancer returned by October of that same year. I loved this dog to the end of the world and she never left my side. I'm not joking, I started working from home since 2020 and she got VERY used to me being around. She was rarely farther than a few feet from me at any given time.

Aztec passed away in February of 2023 in the comfort of her parents' arms. She knew nothing but unconditional love for her time on this earth. She was my companion through most of my adult life, and I will always miss her. I wish more of you could have met Aztec, but she'll always be remembered as the queen she was. 🐾
